CRIMEA STREET FILMS
The Forgotten Film Studio
Crimea Street Films is a collection of original film posters inspired by a fictional independent studio operating in Salford between 1957 and 1966. Drawing on the visual language of mid-century British cinema, the posters evoke a lost world of gritty dramas, unlikely comedies, troubled romances and distinctly Northern stories. Each belongs to an imagined film with its own characters, cast and production history, creating a remarkably detailed alternative cinematic past. Combining period authenticity with invention and occasional dark humour, the collection celebrates the art of the film poster and the films that never existed.Individual posters and the complete collection are available for commercial licensing.
